I forgot my pin for my Samsung Galaxy Tab A and I cannot get in.

I haven’t been on this tablet for about a year now and I just now found it. Its a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I don’t know the model. I don’t remember the pin for it and it requires me to put in the pin to shut it down. there is no removable batterie. I’ve tried to get into Odin mode and start the download once i let it run for 30 min, didn’t work. Next over night, went to work for about 6 hours. Still did not work. No menu came up throughout the time frames. Can someone please help me?

Google's Find My Device service can help by allowing you to wipe the data off the tablet and allow you to start over with a new pin. This can work if your tablet was registered with Google when you used to use it.

  1. Go to https://www.google.com/android/find (you may have to know your Google login information).
  2. Locate the icon for your tablet in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
  3. Click the Erase device option on the left. This will erase the data on your tablet.
  4. You’ll likely be prompted to enter your Google account details again.
  5. Once the device is wiped you can set it up afresh with a new PIN.
