Making up some leads for the DCPS and would like to know does the MacBook determine what wattage magsafe it is using from the magsafe block or from the connector?

When you buy a replacement cable from AliExpress they ask you what wattage you need. This won’t be the most reliable of answers to this question you receive, but I think it’s in the connector.
