Service battery error on Unibody 2010

Im getting a service battery error, ive tried two new batteries and im still getting it. I have a 2010 Macbook unibody. Model A1342.

in coconut

Current Charge 3259mah @ 65%

Full Charge capacity 5000mah

Design Capacity 6600mah

Who's battery are you using?

Also, it would be helpful to see the CoconutBattery output. Ideally, one with the battery under charge around ~80% with the charger plugged in and a second after the charger was removed for a good 3 minutes.

Im letting battery get down to about 2%, then im gonna fully charge it. Ill get back to ya on how it does charging, make sure i take a screen shot. Thanks for helping.

The battery went from 75.3% to 75.8% after 3 charges (cycles). Weird, ill look up logic board and test some things. Stinks love this laptop. Got 2.4ghz Duo, 16gb ram, 500gb SSD. Thing for what I do is perfect.

I think this is a weak battery. I would get an exchange.

But two batteries from two different places ? Both batteries did the same thing.

@Walt Berger - Are you using a REAL Apple charger?

If you are using a knockoff then the comparator logic can get damaged on the logic board. I don't see that here but that's all I can think of.

Is their a way of testing the comparator logic on the board ? If both batteries did it, seems to me I damaged the logic board. Just weird I had another A1342 with same brand battery as im using currently without any issues.

You'll need to find a set of schematics and board view drawings to trace out the logic. Search for your logic board 820-2279
