What are these streaks on my MacBook Air screen?
What is this on my MacBook Air screen? Does anyone know. Looks like white streaks going diagonally across the screen. Very noticeable on the laptop as it’s all across it.

What you are seeing is a Moiré pattern. A cover glass which has a small amount of moisture can create it. MacBook Air systems don’t use a cover glass but people have placed them on the screen.
The only other source for this effect is the T-CON logic which is located at the bottom of the LCD panel. Did you spray the screen with a cleaner? If you had the liquid can drip down into the logic damaging it. Best to spray a micro cloth and the wipe the system. As of late I’m encountering quite a few people damaging their displays with the heightened worry of COVID.
You may want to live with it for now otherwise you’ll need a new display assembly to fix properly MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) Display Assembly and here’s the guide MacBook Air 13" (Anfang 2014) Display Einheit ersetzen

Hi dan, I think your right. I did spray the screen the same day I brought it and that’s when I noticed it. If my MacBook was sold on like this would the buyer experience any problems? Bar the marks. Thanks

The screen would be what you are seeing. The effect could subside as the liquid dries. The display is an output as such it won't effect what you are doing. That is the pictures or text files won't have the defect on them. You can prove this to your self using an external display..
The display could fail at some point as depending on the liquid used could leave a film of solids which over time can corrode things. an external display should still work if your internal dies.

Do you have a screen protector on your display?
