2011 MacBook Pro 13" not turning on after HDD replacement

Hello,

I own a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13” that previously ran well, albeit very slowly. I decided to purchase an SSD to upgrade the storage on the laptop. I first made sure that I was static-free. Upon opening the laptop, I disconnected the battery with a plastic tool and started to remove the old HDD. After having properly connected the SSD and securing everything, I plugged the battery back securely and closed up the MacBook. When I attempt to power the laptop on, there are absolutely no signs of life. I tried different combinations of removing the battery and keeping the laptop plugged in, keeping everything connected including the power adapter, resetting the SMC, etc. There seems to be no result. One important thing I noticed was that the Magsafe light has a VERY dim light that quickly flashes between green and amber. I attempted to put in the old HDD but that did not work either. I would truly appreciate any help!

Thanks for your response. I did indeed pry out that connector using a plastic spudger. I did not proceed with any steps without prying out that battery connector and made sure that I would not short anything.

Sadly, somehow the logic board got damaged. Time to find someone with the deeper skills to diagnose what got damaged or just replace the logic board.

@danj Is that right? How are we sure that the logic board got damaged? This would be extremely unfortunate for me as new logic boards look very expensive. I appreciate your help!

The clue is "MagSafe light has a VERY dim light that quickly flashes between green and amber" Thats the power logic which is messed up on the logic board.

@danj I see. I will most likely end up going to someone more skilled as you recommended. Do you have any possible suggestions/solutions that I would be able to try out in the meantime?
