How to replace deck engagement cable

I have a Craftsman LT-2500 lawn tractor. It's deck engagement is by a mechanical lever that is not in the dash, but located on the right side next to the deck level shifter. The cable starts at the deck and goes under the seat on the left and somehow connects to that deck engagement lever on the right side of the seat and that part is not easily visible to me. So watching some of the videos that take the gAs tank out etc did not help. Can you educate me on what that cable's path is and how to replace it?
