My phone is the only one who has poor wifi signal.

Whenever I turn the wifi on my phone OppoA3s, the wifi around me are all poor signals, but when I checked it in the phone of my dad and uncle which our phones are the same by the way, and I noticed that theirs don't have the same problem as mine. The signal of the Wifi around them is normal and strong, while mine is always poor.

I even tried restarting it multiple times but it still won't work. Can you guys help me out? This is a really big concern for me since i'm having online classes now.

Hi,

Try using the phone as close as possible to the WiFi router (<30 cm) and check if the WiFi signal is stronger.

If it is stronger then it may be a WiFi antenna problem. Perhaps a loose antenna cable connection.

Here’s a composite image of the phone’s WiFi antenna connections, taken from this video that shows how to dis-assemble the phone.

The image on the left shows the antenna cable connection at the top end of the phone whilst the picture on the right shows the other end of the antenna cable connected at the bottom end on the antenna board. The entire antenna cable can be seen being removed at 3:27 minutes into the video. It’s quick so don’t miss it

Check that both ends of the cable are securely connected.

If the signal is definitely stronger when using the phone right next to the router and if you are not confident in repairing it yourself, then contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone.

Most reputable repair services will give a guarantee on their workmanship (30 days?) so ask about that. If they don't or seem hesitant go somewhere that does.

Before getting it repaired backup your phone data to the cloud or a computer.

That way you are guaranteed that if anything does go wrong with the repair at least you still have your data safe. Also by doing this of course nothing untoward will happen. It's only when you haven't that it might. Just kidding. ;-)

I do agree with Jayeff. I had the same issue with OPPO AX7. I squeezed top right hand corner and so far no issues. (where the antenna connection is- just below the battery level indicator. Warning : Excess force can damage LCD display).
