Hi I have a iPhone 8 and the screen display is black does replacing the screen/display or battery fix the black screen

Replacing the screen should fix it unless there is an underlying issue. I would buy a cheap replacement and test it to see if it works. Good luck!

Sounds like a screen issue, I presume the phone is on, you just can’t see the screen…. in this case you should go for the repair.
