While charging my phone shows charging icon but turns off immediately

Im using moto one vision .accidentally it got water damaged and while i checked with some shops they said my motherboard is short and insisted me to replace it.today i replaced my board with a new one and while trying to turn it on it just showed the charging icon and then switched off immediately.please help me
