Hello. I’m having a weird issue with my Pokémon Yellow. The game save file randomly was lost and now refuses to save. I assumed the battery had croaked and opened it up to check it. The battery still has a 3V charge. It has been a while since this initially happened so idk if charge built back up again. Any thoughts?

who still uses the gameboy?!? whatever if you want it i think it is ethier it is how old the system is or it is the battery inside the game not the console.Idk why it refuses to save though :/

can consider replacing to new batteries.
many considerations, like heat cause battery chemistry to be unstable,
dry solders, causing intermittent bad contacts, which need to reflow or touch up with new solder.
