What does 3 fast flashing orange lights mean on a DS4 controller

I recently bought this ds4 controller to see if i can fix it. clicking the ps button and plugging in a charge cable both give 3 fast blinking orange lights and then turns off.

When i opened it i saw that the ribbon cable connector was a little burned/melted, but i dont think it’s broken because the connection is still there, or else the light wouldn’t go on at all (i think).

Also around a solder joint of the left analog stick, are burn marks, and the wires of the 2 analog sticks weren’t soldered on when i opened it.

i wonder if that is the problem, if so i need to buy a solder station (which i was planning anyways).

what could the problem be?

First I would try to connect the controller with a usb cable on to the ps4 usb. Turn on your ps4 and then press the ps button on the controller.

If it starts to work then it seems like the battery can't hold the necessary voltage in order to turn on.

I’m not sure but it seems there is corrosion on the board of the controller. If the problem isn't fixed and you have a soldering iron and some solder you can try to melt the solder joint of the analogue stick. On the ribbon cable corrosion seems not so bad.

Hope it's just the battery! And you can find one easily and cheaply!!
