Testing LCD of iPhone 4

I'm sorry, I don't have any suggestions as to what machine or device would be able to test your LCD. I'm assuming you're trying to determine if the LCD is defective/broken as opposed to another part of the iPhone?

In reference to your question about purchasing/installing a NEW LCD screen, I would highly recommend this site's "how to" guides and other resources.

Personally, I've always been fairly technically "able" and have always challenged myself to fix things after I chose to break them, haha. So, after installing 2 new LCD's on my iPhone, I'd say I'm a darn near expert at it.

If you can pay attention to detail and have patience, I would give it a try. Just beware, you're dealing with some incredibly small screws and delicate electronic parts. ONLY proceed if YOU are ready to bear the consequences!

You can easy test by simply, remove back, undo the plate where lcd connectors are, undo the 2 connectors that are used by the lcd, holding the new lcd connect it and power on, a bit tricky but works fine, Vincent

What I did was used a 2 1//2 inch wide board about a foot long and secured an old bad esn phone motherboard down to it and attached a battery and dock connector to it. I plug in all my digitizer/lcd unit to check out. I use that to test all my iphone 4 lcds and you can rig up something for any phone.
