Hi @namestaken ,
Sounds like there is a problem with the washer timer, part #17 Control panel diagram.
It is an electro-mechanical switch, which has cams on the shaft of the motor in the timer that operate contacts that enable the various components in the machine to operate when they should, e.g. inlet valves, drive motor, pump etc.
There may be a problem with the cam or the contact for that particular section of the timer.
Looking at the wiring diagram as shown in the suppliers’ parts link above there are 14 cams in the timer switch, but interestingly it doesn’t show a drain pump motor at all.
Unfortunately if it is the timer that is the problem they cannot be repaired, more so because there are no internal component parts available for the timer if one component was broken or burnt out etc, so all you can do is to replace the unit.
If you decide to replace the timer, then there are other suppliers online that may suit you better than the one that I linked. They were only linked to show you the part and what it may cost. Just search for LAT9704AAE parts to get results
You could try accessing the timer and check if you can open it slightly, enough to be able to liberally spray some electronic cleaner spray (example only) into the timer and hope that it may have only been a dirty contact. If you decide to do this, ensure that the power is disconnected from the washer and that you allow plenty of time for the timer to be completely dry before reconnecting the power and testing if it made a difference or not. (the cleaner will evaporate but it takes a bit of time - read the directions on the can)
