Schematics for the tristar area - Anyone can help?

I've got this iPad with a charging problem and I think it isn't the tristar itself. According to the “Diode Mode Mesurements”. from the wiki page, I figured out that there is only an open line from the charging port. Or has this line something to do with the battery itself? Without any schematics or boardview I can’t get any further. Before changing the tristar itself I want to be shure that nothing else is faulty. Any help will be highly appreciated!

Swap your probes around and measure. “Black probe on ground”

@imicrosoldering Thank you for your reply! What readings should I get there? Or should I mesure the volts when plugged in?

@tech_ni thank you for your help, so it might be the tristar at all. Will order a new one and see what happens then ...

@tech_ni ... so I did change the tristar, still no charging or more than 0,05 A taking. Is there anything that might help me figuring out what is wrong with this iPad? Do you eventually know where to inject voltage to find the fault with my thermal camera?

Have you checked for loose coils, only thing I could recommend is an icc pro tristar tester or a jc tester.

von

@tech_ni Did check all the coils as they where often loose I found out. A tester is a good idea, unfortunatly at the moment too expensive for me to buy one. I was hoping to find the problem manually ;-)

Zxw isn’t very good at showing what the rails are in iPads and newer phones unfortunately.
