Dryer stop mid cycle

Have a Kenmore HE3 electric dryer. The dryer looses time and shuts down mid cycle. Example on Normal Cycle start at 41 min and counts down to 37 then skips to 20 min and counts down to 18 min, after 18 min it jumps up to 23 min and a few seconds it shuts down at 23 min. On the heavy cycle it starts at 44 min and counts down to 40 min and then jumps to 32 min runs to 31 min and door pops open enough for the light to go on. Shut the door and continue on the count down 31 min and counts down to 23 min. At 23 min it jumps to 21 min and then shuts down. I have installed a new motor and wondering if there is a sensor that needs to be replaced or maybe the door latch. If someone could help me out would appreciate it very much.
