Green bottom / No ring - and it wouldn't start

The center green power light only comes on and stays on and nothing else happens, blinks if only open the disc tray but nothing else and won't display on the tv. and a little Red light from the inside of the console.

That happened right after I update Dashboard 2.0.17559.0 which is required to run the Knicket - while having FreeStyle 3 installed
