2001 honda accord - green key light on dash does not always come on

2001 honda accord - green key light on dash does not always come on. When it comes on the car will start. If it doesn’t come on it will not start. Never can tell when it will come on- its intermitent. Car has died only 2 times while driving. I have 4 programed keys and it happens with all the keys (its’ not the chip in the key)

i think it is either the immobilizer, steering switch, or is it some random ground problem.

Anyone have any idea

When the car died while driving... was that from the immobilizer?

the chip in the key is a transponder and there is also one in or around the barrel or behind the dash and the frequencies marry up to each other in order to start the car and does hand in hand work with the immobiliser so the transponder in the car may be a possibility don’t rule it out fully. could be faulty wiring or water getting into the system. if that green key light is on and off intermittently my guess would be loose wire or water shorting something in the system every so often which is immobilizing the car and that’s why its shut off whilst driving but not all the time

It's theft perfection look on you tube and reset theft perfection forget how but lots like turn key in driver door like 3 time one way and the other then other way and it will reset theft pertection

found a print circuit board on your immobilizer relay underneath the dash by the steering column black relay single plug had to we solder print board where the two relays contact to the board to resolve problem
