whirlpool gold not working

my whirlpool gold is working for a day or 2 and stops, then i raise the temperature and it start working again for maybe 2 more day… i clean the coil and still the same ..

What is the model number of the refrigerator?

Please elaborate on what you mean when you say it "stops"?

Does the compressor stop running until you adjust the set temperature or does it still keep running and one or both of the compartments aren't staying cold etc.?
