I have a GE cafe dishwasher. Model CDT7255SSF2SS. The wash water is not heating. I have ordered a heating element and a flood switch. If I replace the element, is there a reset that must be done as well?

I’m not sure if you need to reset but if you do here’s the dishwasher’s 31 30670 Mini Manual that may help. Usually going into the diagnostics mode and running the diagnostics will reset the machine.
Before replacing the heater element and the flood switch run the diagnostics and check what error codes are displayed just in case they aren’t the problem.
The manual also has the wiring strip diagrams so that you can measure the heater element’s resistance with an Ohmmeter, to know whether it is faulty or not and also the flood switch circuit to know if the switch is OK or not. Might save you from having to replace the parts unnecessarily.
