Dishwasher not Running When Filter is Installed

Hi,

I have a Whirlpool W106322082 A dishwasher. When the cylindrical filter at the bottom is installed, the wash cycle does not run properly. Water pools at the bottom of the appliance, but nothing else happens. However, when I remove the filter, the cycle engages as normal and I can hear the dishes being washed.

Any ideas on what is going on or how to fix?

Hi,

Did you mean W10632082A?

Check behind the kick plate (toe plate?) to see if the tech sheet is there in a plastic sleeve.

It has the diagnostic test procedure and wiring diagrams that may help.
