I have a ts8020 and the grey ink ran out and trying to replace it with another color won’t work. It costs 21 dollars for just that one ink, and I can’t afford it. How do I get the printer to work

To fix this problem, you will need to install a grey ink cartridge in the printer (or get a new printer from Brother or a similar company). You can get aftermarket ink cartridges on Amazon for about $10, however, keep in mind that these may not work after a software update from Canon.
