I was going to get rid of my ps3 before and I ended up going to format utility in the settings menu and formatted my hard drive, I decided to keep it and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get my saved game data back onto the ps3. I did not save any information to a backup device. What can I do? Can someone please help me.

From what I gather, you won't get that data back. Even with a docking station, your HDD wont be read by either Linux, Mac, or Windows. The HDD is in a format which is specific to the PS3, its not FAT32 so it can't be read by any PC. The data recovery or HDD utilities might detect the HDD,however you won't be able to view or recover any data. I am sure you also know that the HDD is specific to the PS3 which formatted it, so if you were to put it in a different PS3, it would automatically format it. Sorry, but I Hope this helps. Good Luck.

you can hook another ps3 console and transfer all data to new or another old ps3. Check into it. I've done it and it works I don't remember what cords you use I think it's usb or network cable. Hope this helps.

Try going to system settings go to restore PS3 system press yes

Yesterday i was saving a game on my ps3 . So i accidently turned off the system while the saving didn't finish yet . So i came today to start the game and i realized that my save file in that game was lost and a new save file was only present . Is there anyway i can get back that old save file?

So...I was trying to restore my lettle big planet game data back...but I forgot to backup my 5 year progress, so, before all of that little big planet stuff I deleted everything off my PS3 to play bo2. Then I was wanting to play little big planet after bo2 and oof...all my stuff GONE right now I'm still trying to find out a way to rebuild my 5 year progress. So if anyone can help thx
