Logitech G602 random button commands upon mouse wake up

So for quite a few months I get intermittent issues with my mouse performing a random key press/command upon the mouse waking up.

Sometimes it’s simple like it’ll input the back arrow if I move the mouse after watching a long enough you tube video for it to sleep so it just goes back in the video 5 seconds. But lately I get weirder commands like one that makes my webpage disconnect from the internet, and/or go a page back from where it was while browsing.

Restart sometimes helps and sometimes it just does another strange command instead. like close the current window I’m in…

Any trouble shooting help would be appreciated.

Everything is up to date on Windows and through the Logitech application.

Hey, I can at least let you know you are not alone.

When my G602 wakes up, it presses random buttons. Sometimes that's just a simple click, left or right. Sometimes it changes DPI settings one notch. Worse however is when it wakes up and triggers the Paste shortcut. Had a bunch of cases where it pastes whatever is in the clipboard into an open IDE window... always great to have youtube links in your code.

I suspect the crapware that is GHUB. It's done a number on my mouse, like no longer being able to change the hardware stored profiles and other nonsense.

Well this seems weird. I have used G602 and that never had any problems whatsoever. Anyways, here some common fixes that will help you resolve the issue.

  1. Clean your mouse and connect it to a different port.
  2. Update your mouse driver from the official website of mouse brand.
  3. Check for remote control software.
  4. Use CPS counter to test mouse buttons one by one.
  5. Disable the touchpad for Laptop users.
  6. Disable the ClickLock feature (for Windows PC).

I am sure at least one or two steps from the above will help fix your Logitech G602. If not, just ping me up!

I have a similar issue, when I power on the mouse, one of the side buttons seemingly keeps clicking and inputting the number "2". I tried disabling the side buttons in the G Hub app but that only worked until the next restart.

The problem disappears once I unplug the receiver and plug it back in. That is, until I turn off the mouse for the night and turn it on again.

I have the same problem, upon waking the mouse, the list of "fixes", stated above does not fix it. As also stated above I believe ghub is the culprit. I can either have the buttons assigned to common useful tasks such as forward, back, volume up, volume down, and get the random button presses on waking the mouse, or have the buttons unassigned.

Yep, same here. Random button inputs on mouse wake up. It's been happening off and on for months. I also suspect it's ghub. Nothing I've tried fixes it.
