My whirlpool microwave has no display at all, the outlet checks out fine, does it have a reset or is it simply dead?

What is the model number of the microwave?
Did it fail whilst operating or just wasn't showing a display when you wanted to use it?
If just going to use it was there a power outage at some recent time after you last used it and before wanting to use it and it wasn't working?
