RFG298HDRS Ice maker runs in reverse continuously.

Ice maker runs in reverse continuously.  I can find no useful troubleshooting info.  No error codes on display or inverter board.  Problem started after water was turned off for 20 minutes to repair leaking supply line.  May have tried to make a batch or ice when water was off??  The ice maker motor runs in reverse whenever the fridge is plugged in regardless of whether the icemaker is turned on or off, what triggers the reverse rotation?  Checked CCW and CW wires on main PCB, has power on CCW terminal only when ice maker is plugged in. Any help would be appreciated.
