Inverted color for LG 70uf772v-zv

Hi.

One day i come home and the colors on my 70 inch tv is inverted. Ive tried to connect a pc to it and invert the colors though that but it seems there are more stuff wrong. I wouldn't mind trying to fix it myself, i just have no place to start.

Thanks for reading

Edit:

Thanks for the replies

It is not a settings thing. I have been though them a couple of times and reset to factory twice. So pretty sure its not a setting.

So i tried turning of the power and "distcharging" the capacitors by pressing the button on the tv. This resulted in no change.

The tv is pretty large and too heavy for me to carry alone so i need to get help with getting it down and disassembeling it. guide on this would be a nice to have but not a need. Ill have an update with board pictures asap.

I did take a picture of the screen with a color test on it. I hope you can see these images now.

@jefffreeman double check all your settings first. If those are where they should be than the issue is most likely the T-con board where the gamma IC has failed. That will causes solarization of the display. We would really need to see what your screen displays. Post some good pictures of it with your QUESTION. Adding images to an existing question - iFixit Repair Guide

Worst case could be a bad panel but that is less likely. IF you need to remove the back cover from your TV and take a look (not touching yet) of the boards. Post some good pictures of those as well. Make sure that all the ribbon cables are properly connected and that there is no corrosion.

Update (05/07/2022)

This is what I show for your model or close to it. Hence we need to see which boards your TV has.

@jefffreeman yup 70 inch TV is a beast :-) Okay your image looks really washed out and you seem to be missing green. Not having schematics etc available (of course they do not want us to have those because they do not want us to fix our stuff) I would proceed as follows. T-con board first (most likely) then Mainboard (double check all your video inputs to verify they are all washed out and missing color) if not then we can further investigate. Also make sure that all the ribbon cables are properly seated and no corrosion etc. If you can and I know its a beast, remove the back cover and let us see the board. If none of that checks out we may be in trouble since then we need to check on the panel......

If you add the @before my username I get notified quicker :-)

@oldturkey03 i just took it down and took the pics of the board. I'm not sure which board t con/ main board is. This is my first time on TV's. Imma gonna check all ribbon cables. And the problem is on all channels and the settings menu.

@oldturkey03 bad i just reseated all the cables i could. No change. Looked for corrosion but did t spot any.

@jefffreeman dang, I was hoping. Okay next T-con board. See if you can get a used one or purchase from somebody that has a no questions asked return policy. Just in case.

T-con board is the second image you posted.

Have you tried with the remote by entering the display settings? Maybe they were set like that accidentally somehow. If that doesn't work, you can also try unplugging the tv and pressing the on button on the tv a couple times to unload the capacitors on the board and let it sit there for 10 minutes. Plug it in and try again. Otherwise you might have to open it up and inspect the mother board. Does the image on the external monitor come out with inverted colors as well?
