Drop it, replaced new screen and cable but still a white screen

Drop my MacBook Air and it totally messed up my hinges, microphone cable, display cable and the screen. I replaced everything new. It boots up making the Mac sound and everything but it still gave me a white screen. I tried booting it up with a snowleopard disc but still nothing. Volume works, key sounds, the brightness of the screen, track pad, it just doesnt show any picture at all after replacing everything new. Could the motherbaord be damage as well? I need help what can I do?

i have the same issue.. i think you need the exact same lcd as originally came with the macbook.. So B133EW03 but also the exact same version nr! V0,V1,V2 or V3... the version number is on the back of the lcd..

With the following code you can check which Versionnr came with your macbook i guess.. and off course you can check on your broken screen!

Open up terminal (on an external screen..because the internal is white.. duhh..) and enter the following code:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

let me know what you find!

Will this establish anything without the version of the original LCD also?

@ ABCellars: Well in my case i had a B133EW03 V1 as a replacement lcd, which gave the white lines.. When i enter the code in terminal it gives me a modelnr B133EW03 V0 So I'm guessing V0 was the original lcd (didn't have the old lcd anymore)

Only thing left to do is buy a V0 lcd and test it. But i would like some more input to test this hypothesis.

On another post I asked you to reset the PRAM to see if that would resolve that issue, encourage the OP SYS to make a new review on installed hardware. To the best of my knowledge you have not done that. I should have also asked you to reset the SMC, I apologize for overlooking this. That Apple script queries what the operating system knows. It does not ask the OP SYS to inquire from the hardware what is installed. If your LVDS cable is good and resetting your PRAM and SMC does not get OS X to recognize there is new hardware you will need to back up your data, format your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. When installing OS X it will THEN make a query and take inventory of the hardware, including the current LCD EDID. I am still not satisfied that the LVDS cable is not the problem, as you replaced yours with one you KNEW had 4 broken wires and concluded from that, that the cable wasn't the problem.
