How do I get the cabinet off on Kenmore 300 Series?
I'm trying to get to the water pump, but how do I disconnect the control panel from the cabinet?

Most washers have clips holding the top on. Prying in the groove at the top, front left and right side, will pop it up. It then just tips back with the control panel. To get the cabinet off, you must remove the back cover, remove fasteners at the bottom of the control panel back (a hinge) and disconnect any wires to the control panel, then lift the top off. From here, there may be a few screws on the inside bottom lip of the cabinet securing it to the base frame. Then it comes off by spreading the rear and pulling forward.
