Car Radio volume knob makes radio think an SD Card has been inserted

I order a Henstar/Reakosound RM-7157B apple carplay radio off of amazon about 3 months back and wired it myself. It worked fine until about a week ago where it started to act weird. Whenever the volume knob is turned, either way, the radio acts as if a SD card has just been inserted and switches off of the music onto the screen loading an SD Card in, then displaying that there is No Device Detected. I tried to reset the radio multiple ways but the odd behavior has not stopped.
