Hi

I can try and help you find out what capacitor has blown

In order for me to do this I will need some photos showing what part of the board this is

If you could upload some photos from further back and highlight what component it is that would be great

Thanks:-)

von

@hellomacos I uploaded more photos and thanks for helping

@zap6296

Sorry this is taking longer than expected

in order for me to help find out what component you need, I need 2 special files ,I only have one of them so I need to get the other one to find out what that component is

Thanks:-)

Hi @zap6296

I was able to find the what I needed

from what they say the component(C7553) is a

82UF ,20% , 16V ,ELEC ,B6S-SM capacitor

as for the positive and negative sides of the capacitor, the link las one that has legs, the longer leg is your positive and the shorter one is the negative

I have marked on your image the positive and negativeIk2AfZbGFdii4OdH.huge 900×1,200 Pixels

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)

@hellomacos do you know where to find one?

von

@zap6296

I can seem to final any that are 1to1 match with the original one but here's a link to one that will do the same job

@zap6296 you could use a donor board to get a original one ,if you use the link, when installing the capacitor you will have to make sure its flat to the board due it its height and that the legs aren't touching any of the surrounding components:-)

also you will have to make sure that you have the positive and negative side of the capacitor the correct way round(il update my answer showing you) and you will need to use a soldering iron for this as this type of capacitor reacts badly with heat(at high temps)

Thanks:-)

@zap6296

If I were you I would use a donor board because it ensures the part will fit with the bottom panel on but its entirely up to you:-)
