I have an Xbox Series S and found a replacement SSD for the Series X. Would it be reasonable to put that into my Xbox, or should I buy a Seagate expansion card?

Technically it should work as the only thing that is different is the storage space. microsoft usually will allow a new ssd in their new consoles. also for $200 i recommend not getting it on ifixit and but one from a place like newegg or microcenter.

Sorry guys,this won't work due to software limitations placed by Microsoft as they are pushing the purchase of Seagate expansion

just make sure you back up the 1gb partition and clone it to the replacement drive as without this partition your console twill just be a brick
