iPhone 3GS

Aufpolierte Version des iPhone 3GS mit schnelleren Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit. Die Reparatur geht ähnlich wie beim 3G vonstatten und braucht nur einfache Schraubendreher und Hebelwerkzeuge. Modell A1303 mit 16 oder 32 GB Kapazität mit schwarzer oder weißer Kunststoffrückseite.

Won't complete initial load when turned on

This is a wildcard, unfortunately. My 3GS is not completely normal since getting wet and my son's 3GS is missing. I have a box of parts that my co-worker has accumulated and have tried to piece together a working unit.

I have one close, but it won't completely load at startup. The apple comes on and it looks like it's making progress--but it stalls out and then goes back to a dead battery status. I've tried a couple of batteries in it, the last being an 0435. My next plan is to take the battery after it's fully charged from my phone and see if that works.

The phone also only shows any signs of life when plugged in. Should I also be looking at the port as an issue? Since I have one quasi working phone I can steal parts from--is there a specific part I should be isolating?

I would try starting with a new dock connector. If that does nothing, you may want to inspect the logic board connectors for damage.

That's one part he doesn't have any extra in the box--which probably should have told me something! If I put that logic board in my phone without a SIM, assuming it starts up, can I upgrade it and have it not change anything on my phone when I put my logicboard back in?

When I put the logic board into my phone, it worked. Didn't try to swap my dock connector. I'll order a dock connector and update the thread, but it will be a few weeks. Priorities...
