1 Why does it randomly hard reboot after water damage?
I did a <5 second submersion into the toilet. After it flushed, thank god! ;) It works like it was new EXCEPT for the camera, flashlight, and after about 5 days of drying it randomly hard reboots even while in a phone conversation or any program that uses data. If it just sits there I havent seen it reboot. I am going to spend $53 to replace camera/flashlight and battery. Anyone think this is a WASTE? Or good idea?

Braden, this thread started with my question about fixing my daughters phone, the story is above. The final result was after following all of the advice above including replacing the battery and the propanol cleaning of the MB with the shields off. Thought I had it fixed but after using it as an iPod for a couple of weeks I caught it restarting. Again removed the MB full detailed inspection under 15 to 50 x no corrosion found. Reassembled but random restart persist. Must be a damaged component on MB as a result of immersion possible internal to some component. I have reassembled it and returned it to my daughter for use as a backup just in time to cover for her stolen iPhone 4. My suggestion is to pull it apart and look for obvious corrosion. If you find some clean it up and possibly replace the battery for good luck but use this phone as as a backup. You could replace the MB but I am not sure it is worth it as that is no garentee that will fix it
