Is my pixel too munted to get a replacement screen?

I would like to get a replacement OLED screen for my Pixel 4a 5G, but before I do that, I wanted to check if anyone knew if my phone would be too munted to replace the screen anyway? See photo...

I removed the screen as it was broken and I think I did everything right, but I may have ham handled it as the brown copper part is a bit ragged now. I don't know what the brown part does and if it's slightly wrecked, if it will affect the phone overall.

If I replace the screen would it still work ok? Before I removed the screen, the phone was working fine (except the screen itself which was flickering and had white lines on the sides of the display). Any thoughts appreciated!
