Whirlpool high efficiency top load washer won't agitate or spin

HI,

My whirlpool he washer fills and drains, but won't agitate or spin. The fix it posts I see seem to apply to older models and I'm not sure it works the same for the high efficiency models. There is not motor noise when it should be agitating or spinning, it just stops working and the door lock red light will flash, but remain locked.
