Phone isn't charging, only pulling between .17A-.20A. Any ideas?

Hey there, work at a repair shop and we got a Pixel 4 XL in that wasn't charging. From the get-go it was pulling the amperage stated above but nothing more. We had a battery and charge dock in-house so we tried those and nothing changed. With the battery unplugged it pulls the same amperage, which almost makes it seem like the device just isn't recognizing the battery. Any recommendations on where to go from here?
