fridge isn't as cold as it should be.

It's a Frigidaire Model # LFSS2612TP5.

I can't find good contractors & usually resort in having to fix things myself. Just like my home remodel, my car, etc. Air comes put of my damper but its not alot of air flow but it is cold but my fridge isn't as cold as it should be. My last Frigidaire side by side I never had any problems with it. It lasted 13 yrs no problems but they couldn't find the part so my home warranty co replaced it. I picked this Frigidaire. Its only going on 4 yrs old.

Hi @kimgossett

Just to be clear.

When you say that "My coils are spotless." do you mean the evaporator coils or the condenser coils?

The condenser coils are outside of the compartment and underneath near the compressor motor whereas the evaporator coils are inside the freezer compartment behind a panel at the back of the compartment. Unless you remove the panel you won't see them.

To access the evaporator coils you need to remove the panel (access is through the freezer door at the front of the compartment. Disconnect the power before removing the panel. Here's a link which has a video that shows how to access the evaporator unit. I realize it is to show how to replace the thermostat but view it to see how to access the coils to see if they're iced up etc.

If the evaporator coils were iced up due to a defrost problem it may cause the refrigerator compartment to be warmer than it should be.

If they are iced up, impeding the fan operation, it could be due to a faulty defrost heater, faulty defrost thermostat, blocked drain tube or worst case a faulty control board.

Check whether they are iced over or not and if so post back here and we'll advise what to check next.

I would have thought that the repairer would have checked whether it was iced up or not though.
