2 4 year old replacement battery for 2011 MacBook Air
I have had my MacBook Air since 2016 and in 2020 some battery warnings began showing up so I bought a replacement battery from iFixIt. Life came up and the laptop became a secondary item I did not use very much so I never got around to changing the battery.
I have found another use for this laptop and would like to finally change the battery. My question is this: is the laptop battery still good to use? It is still in the original packaging and has not been unsealed and has sat in a dry, cool storage area for the entire 4 years.
I understand I should not have waited and have already kicked myself enough for not doing a relatively simple repair...that's on me. Just looking for some advice on if it is actually safe to use the battery or if I should purchase a new one to be safe.
