2009 backlit keyboard work on 2008 MacBook?

Hi,

I’ve got a 2008 MacBook and it doesn’t have a backlit keyboard and was wondering if a 2009-2012 backlit one would fit my MacBook as I can’t find any new ones for 2008 specifically?

While the black light unit could physically fit, the keyboard and the logic board are not designed to support it. The older keyboards don’t have the needed openings for the light to pass through and the logic board doesn’t have the needed connection.
