Basically I was trying to swap my lasers flex cable because it was scratching my games but I ended up breaking off one of the locks for the flex cable and I have no idea how to replace it

Hi there!
Which one broke? The connector on the motherboard? Or on the laser it self? If it's on the laser it self, it's easier to replace the laser. Also save you a lot of headache.
Those connectors are soldered, so you need to desolder them and solder a new one back in to make it work.

Hey i got the same issue, could you let me know what replacement parts you used? The lock for the connector on the motherboard is broken for me
