I have got a WM-EX112 and it makes a buzzing/hissing noise while playing a tape.
I tried the same tape on my deck and it doesn't hiss at all.
What could be the problem? (Also, the belt is new and I tried cleaning the volume button, still hissing)

@kuruczvilmos two things commonly cause the busing/hissing sound. Old capacitors as well as dirty tape heads. Use the Sony WM EX112 service manual to work on it. You can clean the tape heads with a cotton tip applicator and high grade (90% and better) isopropyl alcohol.
