If its screen is faulty, iPhone SE won't boot?
Hello! I am trying to fix my old iPhone SE (1st gen).
When I tried to charge and turn it on the phone again, regardless of the long duration of charging, my phone was not responsive at all (black screen, no haptic, no charging indicator on the screen).
I thought that the battery might be completely dead so I brought a new battery for testing.
I also have another pair of iPhone SE, the new battery works fine with another pair, but it is not working with the phone I am trying to repair. I suspect the screen causing the issue, because when I replaced the screen from another pair, it works fine.
So, I wonder, could iPhone SE detect that its screen is faulty? And when the screen is faulty, iPhone SE does not boot at all? I thought that, even if the screen is faulty, the phone itself will boot, so I can check the phone is at least working by haptic, sound, etc.
At this moment, I figured out that at least the digitizer part of the screen works fine.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
Hi,
the screen could short power lines that prevent boot or mess with the phone in another way. If you think the digitizer is good, you can try to plug only that cable in (it's the one closes to the glass) and connect the phone to a pc to check if it gives you any sign of life.
