Hi @tj1jones

Please confirm the model number of your phone is one of the following - SM-G9200, SM-G9208, SM-G9208/SS, SM-G9209, SM-G920A, SM-G920F, SM-G920FD, SM-G920I, SM-G920S, SM-G920T, SM-G920K, SC-05G, SM-G920L, SM-G920, SM-G920R7?

If it is then it looks like your systemboard battery connector is broken or you somehow managed to pull the battery connector off the board, when unplugging the battery.

Here's a composite image showing the systemboard battery connector, taken from Step.16 of the ifixit Samsung Galaxy S6 Akku ersetzen guide on the left, as compared to the image on the right showing the systemboard battery connector which was provided by you.

I think that the connector in your phone looks like the bottom left female connector i.e. the underside of a female connector and not the bottom right male connector and also it has pieces missing.

See if it can be gently pried off the male connector on the board

I'm pretty sure it is a sm-g920f. I think it is a different connector because I saw this. Look at the image on the ebay listing I think my phone has the bottom right and the ifixit battery has the top left.

Aw man is there any way to fix that or do I need to get some soldering done? I hope not because its above my skills

It's a pity that you haven't got the old battery anymore so that you could check if the connector on the battery flex cable is missing.

I suspect that it is and that the female connector (see top left female connector in image above) from the cable is still plugged into the male connector (see top right male connector in image above) which is soldered onto the board.

You can verify by checking the connector on the flex cable of the battery you have now to see if it looks like the top left female connector in the image above

Carefully inspect the connectors on the board and check if the one shown in your image is soldered to the board . I don't think that it is. It is the one underneath it that is

As you can see from the images the top left female will plug into the top right male so perhaps try very gently, stress very gently to grip the top and bottom edge of the connector and to very gently pull it straight up.

Hopefully it will pull out of the male connector which is soldered to the board

Notice how I stressed very gently as you don't want to pull the soldered bottom connector from the board.

Hi,

I looked closely at your attached pictures and it looks like the connector from the old battery was ripped off when it was disconnected and was left behind. It is still attached to the phone and the backside is what we see in the picture you provided.

That usually happens when the battery was disconnected by pulling from the flexible wire instead of using a pry tool.

That's why you said your phone's connector looks like the one in the bottom right in the ebay listing.

Try to gently pry it out.
