What to try after all suggestions didn't work to fix my automatic ice

My automatic ice maker just stopped producing any ice. I've done all the troubleshooting suggestions. I've tried to reset it a few times. When I push the button I hear a ding-ding but nothing happens. I've done the hard reset by unplugging it for 2 mins & still no ice. When I try to get ice through the door, it sounds like normal, like the motor sound but it just seems to not be making any. I removed any build up, but there wasn't much. I just cant figure it out. Under the sink there is a metal connector goes from the sink to the water line & it has a little handle. I looks like u can move the handle, but bc I don't really know what the heck I'm doing, I'm afraid to turn it.

Any suggestions what to do or what worked for you...if the resetting didn't work & fix my ice maker? It seems to be a pretty common problem

Is the refrigerator's water dispenser working OK i.e. is there water coming out when you use it?

If it is, that means that the water is turned on to your refrigerator.

The handle that you mentioned in the water line is most probably a shutoff tap, so that if ever the refrigerator has to be moved and the water disconnected, you can turn off the tap and uncouple the refrigerator's water line at the tap and not have to worry about water coming out of the tap or having to shut of the water mains to the premises.

If it isn't, then try turning the handle that you mentioned in the water line near the sink and check first that the water dispenser, dispenses water and then allow a few hours for ice to be made and then check if there's ice available.

If there is water and no ice then here's the relevant troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual, for your model, that may help to find out why there isn't any ice.
