Best way to apply adhesive strips for iPad Pro 12.9 screen

I’m at the point of applying ifixit adhesive strips to secure the screen to the frame. I’m puzzled a bit on it…should I pull the backing so I can apply the strips to the screen and then pull the blue tab attached to the face of the adhesive strips? Just align it with the very outer edge of the inside of the lcd screen/glass?

the strips did not come with any instructions and the guides don’t go through adhesive strip replacement, only heating and separating the screen from the frame.
