I used ifixit components to replace charging port and screen. Google offered free battery replacement and I am wondering if anything I used in my repair would void them to replace the battery

@oijixheqxklaij Keep in mind that iFixit only sells genuine Google parts for Pixels, so I can't see how there would be an issue; it's not like you're not allow to replace broken parts on your phone. Unless you left some obvious sign of your repair, I don't know how they would even be able to tell if a part has been replaced.

Any excuse is possible, but I would think (not know), if the replaced parts do not directly affect the battery, that would not be an issue.
That said, I don't know how the broken port might affect the battery. If the battery wasn't charged for a while, that might kill it.
Or if the port somehow shorted the battery - which would heat the battery significantly - that would kill it.

Thanks for your response. If clarification or elaboration assists in your answers to my question, I'll try do so:
I was able to fix my device with the components ifixit provided, and in doing so, replaced my broken charging port with the ifixit replacement part and broken screen with the ifixit replacement part successfully. Recently, Google reached out to me and informed me that due to a recent software update, the battery in my phone(original battery, never replaced)was negatively affected. (myself assuming by performance or capacity). They offered to replace and repair phone battery free of charge and I opted to send it in. Hope this helps
Well that would indicate it is their issue not based on parts of the phone.
If the S/W was overcharging the battery, that would be a problem.
