Alter iMac Monitor als Bildschirm?

Here is just a bit of research.

The Apple part number for that display is 661-7109 here are the specific on what this panel fits:

Mac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)iMac Intel Core i5 21.5” 2.7Ghz, 2.9Ghz, or Intel Core i7 3.1Ghz (BTO)MD093LL/A, MD094LL/A, A1418 EMC 2544. The display itself is a LG LM215WF3 (SD)(D1) (double check the number on your panel) and here is the LM215WF3 SDD1 LG datasheet. The importance here is that you have the panel number since that is exactly what you need to find a universal driver board. For that particular panel, there are still tons of universal drivers out there as this link shows. ******The link is just an example since it is US based but I do know that AliExpress as well as eBay also have those for the European markets as well.

Installing one of these is actually really straight forward. Here is a guide that I did years ago for a (different ) monitor. Its a different universal driver but its the same idea.

Now, if you were thinking of keeping your power supply and /or even your video card, it does get slightly more difficult since the wiring will have to be changed etc. The power supply can be a challenge to use. Personally, I would keep the iMac display and the case and install the new LCD driver in that. You could use "extension" cables to run those to the back of the case for the connections (i.e. HDMI and VGA connectors)

Hope this is a bit helpful and I would most certainly recommend doing this. It's a fun project, does not cost a lot of money and keeps at least most of your system useful for years.

Wichtig ist, dass du die Panel-Nummer hast, da du genau diese brauchst, um eine universelle Treiberplatine zu finden. Für dieses spezielle Panel gibt es noch jede Menge universelle Treiber, wie dieser Link zeigt. Der Link ist nur ein Beispiel, da er aus den USA stammt, aber ich weiß, dass AliExpress und eBay diese auch für den europäischen Markt anbieten.

Die Installation ist eigentlich ganz einfach. Hier ist eine Anleitung, die ich vor Jahren für einen anderen Monitor erstellt habe. Es handelt sich um einen anderen universellen Treiber, aber das Prinzip ist das gleiche.

Wenn du vorhast, dein Netzteil und/oder sogar deine Grafikkarte zu behalten, wird es schwieriger, da die Verkabelung geändert werden muss usw. Die Verwendung des Netzteils kann eine Herausforderung sein. Ich persönlich würde den iMac-Bildschirm und das Gehäuse behalten und den neuen LCD-Treiber darin installieren. Du könntest Verlängerungskabel verwenden, um diese für die Anschlüsse (d. h. HDMI- und VGA-Anschlüsse) zur Rückseite des Gehäuses zu verlegen.

Ich hoffe, das hilft dir ein bisschen weiter, und ich würde dir auf jeden Fall empfehlen, das zu machen. Es ist ein lustiges Projekt, kostet nicht viel Geld und du kannst zumindest den größten Teil deines Systems noch jahrelang nutzen.
