I suggest you replace the display and then re-evaluate. the problem now is that there does nor seem to be any guides for this. Personally, I would use the guide for a Sony Xperia 5 II and use that to replace the screen. If you can, purchase a screen with the midframe. That will make things a lot easier.

All you have to do is work slowly and carefully since there will be differences but it should ultimately get you to the goal.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
