What is the make and model number of the hot water heater and is it gas or electric?

Without knowing the make and model number, the correct parts for it cannot be linked, if there's a faulty part that needs replacing

Also it may be wired differently to others so if it is a wiring problem, without the make and model information we can't provide any relevant help either.
