Where to buy the 6-cell battery replacement for the DELL Vostro 7510?

Hello,

I want to upgrade the battery on my laptop - which comes with a 3-cell (56 Wh) battery. According to the Vostro 15 7510 service manual, "Vostro 15 7510 also supports 6-cell (86 Wh) battery."

Unfortunately, on the DELL website, I only seem to be able to find the 3-cell version, but I came accross this product on iFixIt (Dell 69KF2 Battery), which appears to have the exact same specifications as the 6-cell battery detailed on the DELL website as well as physically seems to have the same mounting holes.

The question is: does anybody know if this is the right battery? If not, where could I find it?

@ looks like the 69KF2 can be used for

G series G15 5530,7620,5515,5520,5525,5521 SE,5510,5511
• G 16 7630, 7620
• XPS 15 9500,9510,9520,9530
• Precision 5570,5550,5560
• Inspiron 15 7510,16 Plus 7620,7610
• Alienware M15 R3,R4,R5,R6,R7
• Alienware M17 R4,M16 R1

The Inspiron 15 7510 and your Vostro should share the same battery etc. Based on that it appears as if it will work for you.

Best thing to do will be to contact iFixit and see what their sales department tells you. Contact iFixit via this link

Do you have a link with the compatibility of the battery, for my reference? I couldn't find it.

@qbort nothing official of course. That is why it is always best to contact the seller (in your case iFixit) to verify our information. check the Dell site and scroll down to compatibility. It does verify that it fits.

@oldturkey03 thanks, I understand. I sent a message to iFixit to check as well, but it is generally to understand where you found out that the 69KF2 is compatible with all the models you listed?

The closest I found was on the Dell website, they list compatibility for the 3-cell battery ( ref https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-3-c...). There, I can see that the Dell XPS 15 9500 is compatible, so by inversion, since this laptop is listed as supported for the 6-cell battery in the iFixit site, I can assume that my Vostro is too.

However I can't find anything specifically about the 6-cell battery anywhere.

Let me try to clarify where I was going with that. The iFixit battery 69KF2 is listed as being compatible with :

Dell G7 15-7500

Dell Precision 5550

Dell XPS 15-9500

R1505S

R1845S

R1845TS

R1945TS

Now if you check the Dell site for the compatibilities, you see that the battery that fits all of those previously listed computers is also the same type that fits the Vostro 15 7000 (7510). All those listed models use the same battery.

That was the link I was searching for, thanks! I couldn't find it but seems it is because Dell doesn't sell that battery in Europe
